Join us on December 16 at Kinomaja to immerse yourself in the mystical world of Hexvessel!
Hailing from Tampere, Finland and fronted by English maestro Mat McNerney, Hexvessel is a band that seamlessly blends folk music, gentle Americana and powerful Finnish psychedelia, affectionately known as “forest folk”.
With a rich discography starting with the acclaimed album ‘Dawnbearer’ in 2011, Hexvessel rose to prominence with albums such as ‘No Holier Temple’ which earned them not only a nomination but also awards such as Femma. Over the years they have performed at renowned festivals such as Roadburn and Provinssi and toured extensively across Europe, sharing the stage with bands such as Alcest. Their 2016 offering ‘When We Are Death’ was met with widespread acclaim and by 2019 had reached millions of listeners in 79 countries.
Their latest single titled ‘Older Than The Gods’ heralds the upcoming album ‘Polar Veil’ which will be released this September. As Decibel Magazine aptly notes, “Hexvessel is a journey into the unknown space of the inner self, where things human and prehistoric incubate unnoticed and slowly.”
This is not just a concert; This is an experience. A band that has consistently pushed the boundaries of what folk and psychedelia can be.
